THEY might be top of the table, but the P word is still banned at Beaconsfield RFC.
Instead, the players might talk behind their hands of going up or getting out of the division.
Head coach Allan Greene said: "We're not talking about it yet. It's our job as coaches is to keep the players focussed. They've not been in this situation before and when you're top you're there to be knocked down.
"They've been reacting perfectly so far, but you can get a bit heady and we have to make sure they're only thinking about the next game."
If it's anything like the last game, it will be another humdinger.
They put their 100 per cent on the line against Grove, also unbeaten and the only team above them in Southern Counties North table, and for 79 and a half minutes it looked like being a bridge too far for Beaconsfield.
They fell behind, clawed their way back into the contest and then fell behind again. With ten minutes to go and ten points to make up, it was just about over.
Greene said: "I didn't think we'd win it. We were ten points behind in the first half, came back and then went ten points behind again.
"I didn't think we'd come back a second time against a very good side, but the character was fantastic."
Johnny Hughes and Will Holland both crossed late on to level the scores at 30-30 and then, in the final minute, with Beaconsfield camped on the Grove line, they earned their chance with a penalty.
Hughes had already missed five kicks in the match, but he stepped up again to knock it over and snatch the points.
Greene said: "The only time we were ahead was after the last kick of the game. For the spectators it was fantastic, but not for a head coach.
"They're one of the better sides but we gifted them three tries. A typical example is we had a four in one overlap, but dropped the ball and their one defender picked it up and ran 60m to score.
"We kept them in the game really, but in the last ten or 15 minutes we played perfect rugby."
Hughes' late score was his second of the match, and tenth of the season, while Seamus McKimm and Callum Wilkinson also joined him and Holland among the try scorers.
With a weekend off, Beaconsfield can rebuild a few broken bodies before another stern test, away to third-placed Wootton Bassett.
