THE relevance of faith and belief to everyday life and its impact on decision-making will be explored at the Chiltern Community Cohesion Conference tomorrow.

The afternoon includes addresses from Lord Sheik, founder and Chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum, Lord Qurban Husain and Member of European Parliament Nirj Deva.

Organiser Dr Dave Furze said the conference is a time to listen and reflect rather than debate.

The conference is the third event funded by the government’s Faith in Action grant scheme.

He said: “Where there is ignorance there is fear and misunderstanding. As well as the good speakers, the Faith Cafes encourage in depth discussions about how faith and belief affect decisions.’’ He hoped it will give the public the opportunity to learn more about other faiths.

Representatives from the Pakistani High Commission, local dignitaries, and leaders from local faith groups, district and county council officials are also expected to attend.

The national British and Pakistani TV and media will be in attendance at this event.

If you would like to attend please RSVP to Dr Furze on 07803 897135 or email dave.furze@hotmail.com.
