A TATTOOIST has vowed to add new artwork to the body of one of Wycombe Wanderers new signings when he bags his first goal for the club.

Sam Stockley, 28, pictured below, moved to Adams Park last week and claims to be Britain's most inked footballer, with 15 tattoos. Stockley, who arrived from Championship side Colchester, even has the birth signs of two former Wycombe favourites, Roger Johnson and Darren Currie, etched on his body.

And now tattooist Sean Wood says he will give the defender a special welcome to Wycombe in the form of a free tattoo and Sam has happily agreed to the proposal.

Sean, 40, runs Woody's Tattoo Studio in Octagon Parade, High Wycombe, and hopes the offer will be enough to fire Stockley into action. He said: "If he scores for Wycombe that will be good for the town that along with the Eden project once it is finished."

Sean lives in Totteridge with wife, Sharron, and their first child is due in October. Known by pals as Woody', Sean says he is not a big footie fan but that Stockley is becoming part of a popular breed of players attracted to tattoos.

He said: "We have had one or two in here, not anyone like David Beckham but we do get some. We had a young chap from Reading Football Club and he had a portrait of Che Guevara."

Sean said slogans written in Olde English and tattoos of stars were also popular choices, which Stockley could choose from. But he might be made to wait as Stockley, who is a right back, has only scored five goals in his career, including two goals for Colchester between 2002 and 2006.
