GARDENS lovers can now get a taste of the enchanted at Hughenden Manor, as its walled Victorian Garden is now open to the public for the first time ever.
Nick Phillips, property manager, said: "When I first saw the Victorian garden two years ago it reminded me of Tom's Midnight Garden.
"It was not open to the public at the time but, given its beauty and its tremendous view of the valley, we thought it was about time the public could see it too."
During Victorian times the garden was used to grow vegetables and fruit, and it is still being used in the same way today.
Visitors can soon expect to see the garden full of blossom as it is full of apple and pear trees.
