LADY golfers will be swinging their hips on the catwalk at a charity fashion show this week for Breast Cancer Care.

Harleyford women's golf captain, Chris Corse, is planning an evening of sophistication involving high street fashion retailer Viyella clothing store to be held at the clubhouse in Henley Road, Marlow on Thursday.

The town's branch of the women's clothes store in Marlow High Street, is offering people the chance to see its Autumn Winter collection modelled on real women' in their 40s to 50s.

Mrs Corse, of Gossmore Close, in Marlow told the Free Press she chose to support Breast Cancer Care as her charity of the year after suffering from the disease in 1999.

She said: "The idea is to have fun and raise money doing something a bit different at the golf club.

"So far we have raised around £1,200 for Breast Cancer Care from charity raffles and open competitions throughout the year."

Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women and one in nine develop it at some time during their life.

Mrs Corse said: "With more than 100 lady members in the club, that is a significant proportion of our members."

Viyella has also chosen Breast Cancer Care as its charity for 2005 and has raised more than £30,000 for better patient support.

As well as a fashion show, guests can take part in a quiz where guests can guess which region or country a selection of cheese and wine comes from.

Proceeds from the ticket sales and raffle will go to charity.
