KARAOKE, in aid of the Poppy Appeal, is tonight in the Royal British Legion Club from 8pm to 1am. Entry is £6.

SOROPTIMISTS will be holding a fund raiser quiz for the charity PEACH next Saturday, October 15 at 7.30pm in the Community Centre. Tickets at £12.50 to include a hot supper and a glass of wine are available from 01628 532900.
FORMER RESIDENT Donald Rands died recently aged 69. He went to the Meadows School in Wooburn Green and excelled at both cricket and football. Don also played trumpet in the school orchestra. His school friend (the late Dennis Hobbs) was his best man and Don did the same at Dennis' wedding. Don met his wife Gillian when they were both at the Meadows School.
Sympathy goes to her and all the family.
FOOTBALL and the 1st XI, after being 0-1 up at Chalfont St Peter in the Associate Members Trophy with a Neil Hanson goal, eventually lost 2-1. They redeemed themselves in the league on Saturday when they won 3-1 away to Camberley with a hat-trick from James Suarez.
The youth team lost 0-3 at home to Chalfont St Peter in the Allied Counties Youth League.
The next game at Wilks Park is on Tuesday when the 1st XI take on AFC Newbury in the Berks and Bucks Senior trophy at 7.45pm.
