Furry and feathered creatures were seen during an unusual service at St Mary's Church in Princes Risborough.
Dogs and cats were invited to accompany their owners for a special pet service at the church in Church Street to mark the Rev Lissa Gibbons' last Sunday service before she moves to a new position in Wycombe.
The idea came from a leaflet from the RSPCA giving details about pet services that had taken place in other areas.
During the service the animals were blessed and joined in with the hymns.
After the service, held last month, Rev Gibbons said: "It was a very happy service. This was to thank them for the pleasure they give us."
