Are you twenty-something (or even thirty-something) and still living with your parents?
Hundreds of bright young professionals are in well-paid jobs, wish they could afford their own place but run up against the usual stumbling block of not being able to save enough for the deposit.
Legions of singletons have no option but to stay on in the family home with mum and dad. Others with partners shell out for rented accommodation but none of them have a chance of getting a foot on the property ladder, not without a minor miracle (or a financial incentive from a developer).
But this could be their lucky week. Persimmon Homes has come up with a "Move in for £99" promotion that could be just the opportunity they've been waiting for.
The scheme is available on the contemporary two bedroom apartments priced from £195,000 they're building on the Quartz development in Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe.
The developers will pay the five per cent deposit plus the one per cent stamp duty and give them £300 towards legal fees. That leaves first time buyers with £99 to find to make a reservation.
Elaine Stratford, Persimmon's regional sales director knows that new buyers are crucial for the health of the market. She hopes the financial package can help them achieve their independence. She enthuses: "These apartments are truly spacious and are ideal for a couple just getting married or moving from a one bedroom rented flat or out of the family home. The first two apartments were snapped up straight away as soon as our brochures arrived at the agent's office."
Prices start from £195,000. Thomson Wilson in Wycombe is the selling agent.
