AN ARSON attack on the Beaconsfield home of a pharmaceutical company boss is now being linked with a second incident.
Thames Valley Police are investigating claims made by an animal rights group on their website that they carried out the attack on the home of Phil Blackburn, the corporate controller of GlaxoSmithKline, on the evening of Wednesday September 7, and an attempted arson attack at Corpus Christi sports pavilion, off Whitehouse Road, in Oxford, on Friday, September 23.
Mr Blackburn's home, in the vicinity of Burkes Road, Beaconsfield, suffered considerable fire damage to the porch area of the house. His family were in the house at the time of the attack.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "We are investigating claims on a particular animal rights website that they have done both jobs and are linking them together."
