THE Lymphoma Association is a natio-nal cancer charity based in Aylesbury.

It is the only UK charity that specialises in providing information and support to those affected by lymphatic cancer, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

There are over 10,500 new cases diagnosed each year in the UK, half as many again as the much better known leukaemia, and it is the most common cancer in the under 30s.

The association is currently planning its sixth Periwinkle Ball for Saturday, October 15 at the Savoy, London.

The Periwinkle Ball is the Lymphoma Association's flagship fundraising event and aims to raise awareness of lymphomas as well as funds for the vital work of the association The association has secured the services of renowned author Jeffrey Archer as the auctioneer for this year's ball and they are sure, that it will once again be a night to remember.

Lord Archer is an amateur auctioneer, having raised around £10million for charity in the last nine years.

The evening starts at 7pm with a champagne reception and is followed by a sumptuous three-course meal with wine, coffee and petit fours.

Following that there will be dancing to top party band, The Executives, till 2am.

Individual tickets are priced at £98 and corporate tables are available for £1,400 which includes a full colour advert in the ball programme.
