THE public got a rare chance to see inside Bisham All Saints Church as the historic building opened for a heritage weekend.
The church, whose tower dates back to 1190, is often closed to the public after service hours but it reopened for viewing last weekend.
Church historian Patricia Burstall showed people around the grounds for free.
She said: "I took one group into the church yard because we have recorded that in great detail and have some interesting finds. It is to enable the public to see buildings not normally open and some were very receptive."
