A RARE breeds farm in South Bucks is the latest attraction to be given an educational accreditation.
Odds Farm Park, in Wooburn Moor, has been accredited as suitable for school visits under a national scheme to increase schools' access to farmland by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
Jim Knight, rural affairs minister, said: "We want to make it easier for children to get the full benefits of visiting farmland.
"This accreditation scheme means that teachers can choose farms with confidence, and farmers have the skills to help the children get the most from their visits."
Odds Farm Park has been open for 12 years to the public and it is delighted with the news of the accreditation.
Neil Scott, general manager at Odds Farm Park, said: "We are very pleased.
"We have had school visits here since we opened. This is a great way to reassure schools that farms are a safe place to visit."
The farm is just one of three to be accredited in the whole of the South East so far.
