HIGH Wycombe Enterprise Hub is seeking enterprising start-ups or early-stage design businesses keen to develop with the help of a range of new facilities and advice at its new Innovation Centre at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University.
The Hub at Wellsbourne Campus on the outskirts of High Wycombe has a range of new office and computer facilities thanks to a £50,000 grant from South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).
Eight lucky businesses will be charged minimal rent and have full serviced office space and facilities including office furniture, PCs, printers, fax connection, photocopier and internet connection on an easy in, easy out, short-term agreement.
Phil Johnson, High Wycombe Enterprise Hub Director said: "The grant from SEEDA and the opening of the Innovation Centre is an exciting development for the business community in High Wycombe.
"We will be building a community of innovative new and emerging businesses and delivering a range of services to help them to grow successfully.
"The Innovation Centre will be a vibrant and stimulating environment and we look forward to working with all emerging companies to help ensure their success."
The Hub is be funded by SEEDA and managed locally by Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College.
The facilities are just part of a range of services available to start ups and early stage businesses from High Wycombe Enterprise Hub.
High Wycombe Enterprise Hub, funded by SEEDA and managed locally by Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College, has been created to provide assistance to local entrepreneurs and emerging businesses.
Other free services provided include business mentoring, intellectual property consultancy, cashflow modelling and workshops.
Mr Johnson has a background in design consultancy and worked for the design council. Although he is interested in any companies, particularly those in knowledge based sectors to take advantage of the Hub, he thinks design companies especially will benefit from the facilities and his personal expertise.
He said: "We are offering an amazing business opportunity, a great start for people keen to make their mark. There are many benefits to this location including plenty of parking. We are designing the office spaces to give people privacy and security for their work."
