I UNDERSTAND that the BFP recently devoted editorial to lamenting the closure of the "Little Fishes" nursery at the Wycliffe Centre in Horsleys Green.
Horsleys Green is a tiny winding lane between Studley Green and Cadmore End, out towards Stokenchurch.
At best, the lane is barely wide enough for two cars to pass each other, and at worst, it is a single track with passing spaces.
Obviously, 70-80 children being delivered each morning and collected at the end of the day, equates to some 300 vehicles using the lane daily (twice in, twice out).
Many of the parents drive considerately through our sleepy little village others however, drive like maniacs.
Quite apart from the noise, the lane has become a dangerous place to walk, and we are seeing considerable erosion of our roadside verges.
You may be sure that the residents of Horsleys Green are absolutely delighted at the closure, and the only people to regret the nursery's demise would be the Wycliffe Centre to whom, we understand, the business contributed significant revenue.
