THE Chiltern Gateway Club, which helps people with learning disabilities, is gearing up for its 40th anniversary celebrations.
The club, based at the Chilterns Youth Centre, in Amersham, will be celebrating the anniversary next year and organisers are hoping to mark the occasion with a series of activities and events.
They want as many old friends of the club to come forward and join the party.
Trevor Milner MBE, club leader, said: "We have a number of plans and will be publishing these at the start of next year.
"Before we do this we would like to be able to obtain details of those people who have been involved with the club as members, helpers, supporters, fundraisers, parents or in whatever other capacity."
The club was started in April, 1966, and organisers are interested in talking to anyone who has been involved with the club during the last four decades.
Mr Milner said: "I would like to get in touch with many of the past members and helpers of the club."
He added: "We know people will have moved away from the area or not been actively involved with the club for many years but we still want to hear from them."
The social club has had members aged between 16 and 70. It aims to bring people with learning difficulties together to enjoy each other's company and relax. Their activities include pool, table football, darts, board games, music and organised trips.
