TV wheeler-dealer George Cole cut the ribbon to launch a vet's first open day in 30 years.
Mr Cole, 80, best known for his role as Arthur Daley in the television series Minder, was guest of honour at the Crossroads Veterinary Surgery in West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe, on Saturday, September 17.
For the first time in 31 years, owner Malcolm Walters opened the doors of one of his three clinics to the public and raised more than £500 for four animal charities.
Mr Cole, who lives in Nettlebed, attended the open day with his wife, daughter and pet dog Lincoln. He said: "I regularly take my pets to the Watlington clinic so this is the first time I have been here but I think it's wonderful.
"I think open days are a wonderful idea because a number of people have pets and it is always interesting to see what goes on behind-the-scenes."
More than 350 people attended the open day which also included a prize raffle, cake sale and other activities.
Mr Walters told the Free Press: "We decided to hold an open day because we have extended this site quite considerably. Most people only see the waiting room or the consulting room, so it's nice for them to see a little bit more about what we do and the facilities we offer."
