A TAXI driver was threatened at knife-point by three boys who tried to rob him.
The 33-year-old driver picked up three boys, aged between 12 and 13 years old, at about 10pm on Thursday, September 15, from Lance Way, High Wycombe.
The boys got into the taxi, a gold-coloured Volvo S40 and one of them produced a knife.
They threatened the driver and demanded money from him before one of the boys began punching him around the head.
The driver managed to push the boy off him and the three youths got out of the taxi and ran away, one of them throwing a brick at the windscreen as they did so.
DS Emma Burroughs, of High Wycombe CID, said: "This was a totally unprovoked attack.
"The driver has been left with bruising and soreness around his neck and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident take place.
"People may well have seen the three youths standing around in Lance Way shortly before 10pm waiting for the taxi.
"And even if what they saw was not suspicious they could have vital information that could help in the investigation."
The boys are all described as black, around 4ft 6ins tall.
Anyone with information about this matter should call DS Emma Burroughs at High Wycombe CID on 08458 505505
