DISRAELI Primary School pupils were in high spirits last month as they celebrated the end of the academic year with a carnival.
Wearing vibrant hand-made costumes and brandishing flags from around the world, the schoolchildren danced and paraded to the beat of the music.
Pupils from the school in The Pastures, Downley, spent many hours putting the outfits together for the event which was blessed by summer sunshine.
While not quite on the same scale as Rio or Notting Hill Carnival, the event certainly brightened the day for many of the spectators.
