TELEVISION presenter Tony Robinson is calling for people in Wycombe to join a Help the Aged trek in the Himalayas, to raise much-needed funds for the charity.
Time Team host and Blackadder actor said: "Trek India is a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for Help the Aged whilst seeing some of the world's most extraordinary sights."
The exhilarating 11-day trek will take place on April 29 next year. Participants will visit the beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh, walk across a glacier, visit the Dalai Lama's home in Dharamshala and sleep under the stars in meadows.
On the final day, the trek will visit the Mobile Medicare Unit (MMU), one of the most important projects of HelpAge India, Help the Aged's international partner. Participants will see first hand why the charity's work in India is so vital.
The trek is open to anyone over the age of 18.
If you apply before August 31 this year, participants will need to pay an entry fee of £99, rather than £195. They must also commit to raising £2,200 in sponsorship money. Help the Aged will provide a fundraising pack, tips, and advice for all participants.
