END of term awards were handed out to pupils at Princes Risborough Primary School before the summer break.
The prizes were mainly given to children from Year Six who are leaving the school in Wellington Avenue.
Kristie Johnson, a school governor, said the day brought a lump to the throat of both the pupils and staff.
She said: "It was lovely, but a bit emotional for the children who are leaving. The awards are so that the kids can leave the school feeling really happy and pleased with themselves. We gave out certificates for charity work, helping out the school and citizenship awards."
Parents were invited into the school to watch the awards ceremony take place on Wednesday last week.
To mark the end of term, and the end of the school year, a day of athletics was held last Thursday. The children competed in a series of events for gold, silver and bronze medals.
Mrs Johnson added: "The children all absolutely loved it and it was great to have the medals. We have an athletics club every Thursday and the children have taken to it really well."
