COULD your readers help me in my search for information regarding soldiers of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry who were killed in action in June 1944.
These men were part of the 6th Air Landing Brigade and they arrived in Normandy by glider in the evening of June 6.
My research involves 17 soldiers of the regiment who lost their lives between June 13 and 20 that year.
Three of those involved were local men, Pte F W Walker and Pte D A Wilrycx, were from High Wycombe, Pte W C Parsons came from Uxbridge.
Should any of your readers have known these men I would be most interested to hear from them.
