IF YOU live locally or are connected with the local church (or have been connected in the past) you might be interested in becoming a Friend of St Mary's Church.
An early project of this group is to re-lead two of the stained glass windows which are in danger of falling out. Constant maintenance is needed by the church generally, after all it is a beautiful and historic building.
If you are interested or a member of your family has been married or christened there and would like to become a member phone 01753 643824 or 01753 646926 for a membership form.
A £5 donation makes you a Friend.
LAST RAGWORT and thistle clearance in Church Meadow takes place tonight.
This is organised by the Conservation Volunteers so meet there at 7pm if you can help. More information from John Lovelock on 01753 647087.
The next date is Saturday, August 6 for the start of the churchyard fence painting.
