ST MARY'S Walking Group meet at 1.40pm on Sunday for their monthly walk. Meet at the War Memorial and all are welcome.

READING VOYAGE at the library in Reynolds Road welcomes eight to 11 year olds on Wednesday as shipmates, from 2pm to 4pm. This week it will be for a Beaconsfield Youth Theatre workshop and tickets are available from the library.

ALSO at the library this week is an International Storytime at 2.15pm on Thursday. Library members whose first language is not English will tell tales from their homeland in English and their native language. The latter includes well-known ones such as Spanish and French, and also less well-known languages such as Gujerati, Ghanaian, and Slovakian and more. Those that are not used this week will be used at a later date, depending on who is available and when.

A COFFEE MORNING will be held at Three Gables in Station Road on Wednesday from 10.30am with a cake stall and raffle, and also cards for most occasions.

BRITISH FUCHSIA SOCIETY have a show at the Beaconsfield School on August 14 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. Crafts and plants will be on sale, alongside demonstrations, refreshments and more. Admission is £2 (£1 concessions) and all are welcome. For information phone 01252 329731.

CHRISTIAN AID will benefit from a Ploughman's Lunch on Sunday, August 7 in the garden of two supporters. Tickets and full details are available from Tom on 01494 676373 or other committee members.

AS SUNDAY is the last Sunday of the month it will be time for an Early Bird Service again, at St Michael's Church Hall from 9.15am, aimed at five year olds and under, with simple prayers, songs and Bible stories. This new, fun short service was launched in May and seems to be here to stay.

ARE YOU interested in a training course by Cruse Bereavement Care on Aspects of Bereavement? It will take place on six consecutive Monday evenings at the Fitzwilliams Centre starting late September but numbers are limited, hence the early warning.
