VISITORS to the Roald Dahl Story Centre were taken on a wild journey into the world of fiction by storyteller David James last week.
The centre in Great Missenden has organised poets and writers to come in and take storytelling sessions to inspire creativity.
Katy Sullivan, education manager at the story centre in High Street, said: "The aim of the centre is to promote creativity and inspire visitors to try writing their own stories.
"We have set up workshops for children and adults to try their hand at some creative writing. There are lots of different ways to write and we want to show that although Roald Dahl wrote in one way it is not necessarily the way everybody should."
The centre, which opened last month, has already attracted more than 10,000 visitors, with many more expected during the school holidays.
With spaces each day limited, the centre is now encouraging advance bookings by calling 01494 892192
