A MURDER trial is underway after the death of Wycombe woman Natasha Derby last September.
Reading man Dwayne Haughton is accused of killing Miss Derby, 22, who lived at the YMCA, in Crest Road, High Wycombe.
On the first day of the murder trial at Reading Crown Court, the prosecution said Haughton, 29, had shot Natasha with a single gunshot to the head as she danced with her friend at the multicultural centre in St Mary's Road, High Wycombe.
Police arrested Haughton after his fingerprints were found on the cartridge case of the bullet, the prosecution alleged.
Partygoers who witnessed the shooting told the court they fled the building after hearing the shot in the early hours of September 4.
Haughton denies a charge of murder and a second charge of manslaughter.
He also denies a charge of possession of ammunition without a certificate.
The trial continues.
