CROWDS were treated to an entertaining spectacle as Dr Challoner's Grammar School in Amersham raised cash for charity.
The Midsummer School Fete was organised by Friends of Dr Challoner's at the school in Chesham Road, Amersham.
Taking inspiration from Covent Garden Market and the Brighton Lanes, the school grounds were transformed with street stalls, buskers, tombolas and auctions.
Sue Hatrick, chairman of Friends, said: "It was a great day, topped off with a five-a-side football tournament, straw-berries and Pimms, and some excellent performances from the jazz and swing bands."
The fete managed to fetch another £3,750 to complement the £21,000 they have raised to date.
The money is being used to improve the school grounds and pupils' recreation areas, as well as bringing new plants to the gardens and more outdoor benching.
