A FURNITURE company is sitting pretty thanks to a cash injection from NatWest Commercial Banking.
The firm now expects to save up to £50,000 a year by streamlining operations and merging its two manufacturing sites into one.
Greengate Furniture Ltd of Coronation Road, Cressex, which produces a range of furniture, including, chairs, sofas, antique replicas and ottomans to customers in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, recently switched its finance provider to NatWest. And it was given enough cash to cover the move of equipment and plant from its old wood-working facility to the main manufacturing location, half a mile away at Oakridge Road.
Nick Jones of NatWest Commercial High Wycombe, worked closely with Peter Hearn, managing director of Greengate to structure the deal.
The business originally set up in 1958 by two furniture makers and a local preacher, who operated out of a shed in Saunderton, just outside High Wycombe.
The two owners later merged with fellow furniture makers Hearn & Son, and Greengate is now run by the third generation of the Hearn family.
The company has grown steadily over the years and now employs 40 full time staff with a turnover of £2.5m.
Mr Hearn said: "The funding solution provided by NatWest will give us leverage to conduct a slicker operation, whilst not losing any attention to the quality of the goods we produce.
"Nick and the team have shown a genuine interest in our business and the challenges we face in the manufacturing sector. We look forward to working with them in the future."
Mr Jones said: "Greengate is a leading player in a very specialist market and we are delighted to have them as a customer. This funding solution, which is tailored specifically for the requirements of the company, will allow Peter and the team to continue to grow what is already a very successful business."
