LADIES from the Women's Institute took to the skies for an evening of gliding last week.
More than 15 members of the WI, more traditionally known for making Victoria sponges and jams, went up in gliders at Booker Airfield.
Ruth Potts, a member of the WI county executive committee, based in High Wycombe missed out on a flight last week, but enjoyed the day trip.
She said: "We had an ideal day for gliding. It was a beautiful evening.
"I didn't go up. I have been up before and there were just too many of us. It is really good fun."
She added: "Doing things like this gives members the opportunity to do something different."
