THE RICKMANSWORTH Players are back with a new show and a new home, thanks to the Elgiva.
Following the closure of The Watersmeet Theatre in Rickmansworth at the beginning of the year, resident theatre company the Rickmansworth Players, were forced to find a new home.
Less than six months after the theatre's closure, the Players have now settled in at The Elgiva in Chesham and are set to open with their new production Carousel on Tuesday.
Carousel tells the poignant story of faithful Julie and her brutish husband Billy, and is one of the most powerful books of the musical theatre. Famous numbers include Mister Snow', If I Loved You' and June Is Busting'.
The Players have performed many shows in the past including West Side Story, Me And My Girl, Jesus Christ Superstar and Daisy Pulls It Off, to name but a few.
A spokesman for the Players says: "We are thrilled to have the Elgiva as our new home and welcome all our new supporters from Chesham and the surrounding areas and we are sure that everyone will thoroughly enjoy Carousel."
The Players will perform six shows at the Elgiva from July 19 to 23 at 7.30pm and a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets: 01494 582900.
