ROLES were reversed at St Mary and All Saints Church of England School last Tuesday as one lucky pupil stepped into the shoes of his headteacher.
Jacob Pollard, a Year Two pupil at the school in Maxwell Road, Beaconsfield, won the chance to be head for the day at an auction of promises which raised more than £3,000.
Seven-year-old Jacob came into school dressed for the part in a shirt and jacket instead of his normal school uniform.
He took an assembly in front of the other pupils and carried out a health and safety inspection.
Jacob also used some of the money raised in the auction to order new sports equipment for the school.
A school spokesman said: "He had an absolutely fantastic time."
