HOME MADE cakes and teas are back again on Sunday afternoon in the Church Room. Served by The Avenue Methodist Church there will be a fine selection of cakes along with tea to add to the perfect afternoon. Teas will be served between 2.30pm and 5pm. Proceeds from the event will go to Sparkles, an organisation that helps children with Downs Syndrome.
THE VILLAGE HALL is home to several organisations both in the village and from further afield. Over a typical week there are such diverse activities as art, dance, a whist drive, youth club and a weekly meet of the cycle club. The hall is also available for private hire and regularly used for social functions. A list of regular events is displayed at the hall entrance and private bookings can be made by contacting Mrs Plumeridge on 01494 437607, Monday to Friday daytimes.
