PLEASE BE AWARE that Wycombe Skip Hire, who operate from Unit 53 at Binders Yard, have appealed against the time restrictions that were applied to the grant of planning permission in March. At present, their permitted hours are between 7.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, then 7.30am to 1pm on Saturdays and no operations on Sundays and Bank Holidays, with no traffic to enter or leave the site between the hours of 8am and 9am or 3pm and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Their Appeal, if successful, would mean that the operating hours would be 7am to 7pm on weekdays and 7am to 1pm on Saturdays, with no morning and afternoon restrictions on skip lorry traffic along the A4128 road through Cryers Hill towards Great Kingshill.

The original morning and afternoon time restrictions were imposed to recognise the limited parking availability for parents delivering and collecting children at Great Kingshill School and the fact that there are crocodiles of children walking past the Binders Yard entrance morning and afternoon.

If you wish to register an objection, please write to The Planning Inspectorate, 3/15 Eagle Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6PN, quoting the following reference number APP/P0430/A/05/1181581.

Comments must be received no later than July 26, so don't delay.

THANK YOU to the many who came and enjoyed a wonderful evening of music and entertainment followed by the Pie Supper at Cryers Hill Methodist Church last Saturday.

The catering team did a great job providing cherry and mixed fruit pies. It was a wonderful team effort.

Sunday services are at 10.30am with Preacher Alan Crolwe from Maidenhead and 6pm with Graham Luscombe.

On Tuesday the music group meet. All are welcome.

A HOUSING NEEDS SURVEY has been requested by the Parish Council from the Rural Housing Trust.

It would establish the difficulty in finding housing in the village.

High prices have forced local people to move away. The survey will establish whether there is a need for some new houses and whether there is support in the village for the Parish Council to pursue the project.

The Trusts' schemes are always for local people who cannot afford to rent or buy on the open market. The properties would remain in perpetuity for the use of local people and would not be for development profit.

The survey can be found in the summer edition of the Residents Association's newsletter.

Alternatively you can contact the Parish Council office in the village. Make sure you complete and return it.
