OVER 200 VILLAGERS gathered last Sunday in the Royal British Legion hall to remember those who fought in the Second World War 60 years ago.
Twenty eight veterans received badges and citations from County President Ken Ross DL, and Legion officials.
This was followed by the listing of the fallen and laying of wreaths at the War Memorial accompanied by a piper and bugler.
SUPPORT Age Concern and enjoy a visit to Lord Carrington's garden at The Manor House, Bledlow tomorrow afternoon from 1.30pm to 6pm, with the RAF Halton Band, stalls, tombola, plants and refreshments.
CHERRY FAIR on Sunday starts at 12.30pm with a procession led by the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car containing two important passengers, Christopher Harvey and Leanne Williams who won the colouring competition.
A host of activities will be on offer during the afternoon such as children's games, five-a-side football, pub tug-of-war, fairground rides, stalls and refreshments.
First prize in the raffle is family tickets to the stage production of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" at the London Palladium.
LADIES CLUB meets on Thursday and will have a talk by Mrs Tomkins entitled "Are you being served?" Get more details from Barbara Grierson on 01628 522514.
