CHILTERN Railways has taken steps to reassure commuters about safety following the London bomb attacks last week, which injured some of their passengers.
Following the attacks, several Chiltern services were suspended in the county and many passengers were forced to catch shuttle bus services to and from central London.
In a public letter Chiltern said that it believes many of its passengers were caught up in the attacks.
In the letter, addressed to passengers, it reports: "many of our passengers were directly involved and some have been injured"
The letter continues: "On behalf of our staff, our thoughts are with you and we offer you our very best wishes for a full and speedy recovery."
Chiltern has reassured customers that they make "regular security checks" throughout the day at stations and on their trains.
They say many of their trains even carry CCTV.
They have urged people to report anything suspicious to a member of staff, and if all else fails, the police. They have also urged people not to leave any baggage unattended on services from now on.
Chiltern admitted they were facing difficult times with services, but that staff were "working around the clock", adding: "We'd like to apologise to anyone we let down."
