A SUNDAY league footballer lost his leg in one of the London bomb blasts last week.
Wycombe Wanderers fan Paul Glennerster, 26, was caught in the explosion between Russell Square and King's Cross tube stations on Thursday.
Mr Glennerster is the captain for Sunday league pub team the Horse and Jockey, in Tylers Green.
A regular at the pub, he has been the side's captain since its formation six years ago, according to a fellow teammate.
Blues boss John Gorman said: "I would like to get some of the players up to the hospital for him."
A Metropolitan policeman described how he tended to Mr Glennerster at the scene of the explosion on www.gasroom.co.uk a football fans' website.
The policeman said Mr Glennerster talked about the Blues while he was being stretchered out of the tunnel.
Ian Mather, a director at Wycombe Wanderers, said: "Paul is known to the club and unfortunately he did lose his leg in one of the blasts. He is currently receiving treatment."
Mr Mather added the club would contact Mr Glennerster's family and a one minute silence for victims of the tragedy would be held at this Wednesday's pre-season friendly with Chelsea.
Keith Blagbrough, secretary of the Wycombe Supporters Trust said: "We would like to wish him all the best and hope to see him down at Adams Park soon."
