LOCAL police met with members of the public last Wednesday in a crime prevention initiative.
Police officers, based in Marlow, stopped and spoke to people at the Farmers' Market in the High Street to give them advice on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime by using simple preventative measures.
Marlow Inspector John Hillier said: "Bearing in mind the warmer weather at this time of year, people are more likely to leave their doors and windows open, especially if they are out in the garden or just popping next door."
Local area beat officers and a crime reduction advisor were on hand to answer questions on issues such as burglary, theft, and protecting the home, vehicles, and other possessions.
Residents were also able to find out how they can protect themselves.
The mobile office was open between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
