Guilfest 2005 is set to bring a rock solid line-up of artists to music fans this July.
Set in the beautiful parklands of Stoke Park, in the centre of Guildford itself, the weekend of music is set to impress regulars and new comers alike.
Headlining this year are sing-a-long supremo Paul Weller and Irish folk-rockers The Pogues, with the songwriting genius of Shane MacGowan back in his rightful lead singer position.
Paul Weller has been writing and performing hit after hit since the 1970s when his band The Jam caught the attention of a music loving generation.
He ventured down a different road with the 1980s Style Council and as a solo artist since 1991 has dabbled in everything from experimental funk and psychedelic jazz to acoustic folk and pastoral soul rock.
The Pogues are a band that defies description punk, folk, and poetry all come into their repertoire and their lasting fan base is a testament to their talent.
Accordions, banjos, old Irish storytelling and whiskey are all part of their unorthodox style that never disappoints.
Also on this year's bill are stalwart rockers Status Quo and popstar Daniel Beddingfield.
There are lots of performances from hot up and coming bands including The Subways and The Stands who should also be on your list of must sees.
The typical audience at Guilfest could be described as veterans from Reading and Glastonbury who are now training up future generations of festival goers usually this family festival has a huge kids zone, which is even bigger this year because the core audience often has a buggy or two in tow.
Guilfest is on July 15, 16 and 17
