FENNELS WOOD group will be walking around Berghers Hill and Odds Farm on Sunday. Meet in Budgens car park at 10am.

OPEN GARDENS afternoon attracted about 70 villagers who enjoyed the opportunity to visit a variety of gardens all giving scope for ideas. A big thank you to all the host gardeners. Your efforts were much appreciated. Thank you also to Wendy Bull and her helpers who revived the garden visitors with her very welcome cream teas.

ROLL OF HONOUR is being prepared by the Royal British Legion. It will include people associated with the village who served in the war, and members of the village branch of the legion who have since died. This roll will be read out by a boy and girl from the youth section at a service around the War Memorial on Sunday, July 10. YOUTH DISCO is at the Royal British Legion Club on Thursday from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Entry costs £1.

DONKEY DERBY tomorrow in Wooburn Park, just down the hill, from midday to 4pm. The racing starts at 2.30pm.

SONGS FROM THE SHOWS is hosted by the WI on Thursday in the Methodist Church hall. Tickets at £6 include a light supper so ring 01628 523907 to book.

ARTISTS' STUDIOS in the village will be open for another week.
