AFTER THE FUN and information learning on Awareness Day you can now have a fun day at St Mary's School when they join with Beaconsfield Lions Club tomorrow at midday for the annual Donkey Derby. As well as a number of races there will be fun and food, games and great stall choices.

SUMMER FAIR tomorrow at St Teresa's in Warwick Road from 10am till 3pm. There will be stalls galore.

FOR EARLY RISERS there is the regular monthly Farmers' Market in the Old Town starting at 9am, so you will have plenty of time to do your weekend shopping before the two special events. There will be seasonal fruit and vegetables and much more.

SUNDAY BRINGS the second of the recently launched Early Bird Services for children. It begins at 9.15am in St Michaels Church and is for up to five year olds, lasting about 25 minutes. The service will include songs, simple prayers and bible stories.

ALSO AT ST MICHAELS on Sunday is another "God in the Life of" series of informal evening services. This weekend the speaker will be Michael West, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Materials, Minerals, and Mining. He has been involved with mining for much of his life and he sees a strong link between his role and working for God. This service is from 6pm to 7pm and will be followed by refreshments.

ANOTHER SPECIAL SERVICE on Sunday will take place at St Mary and All Saints church in the Old Town at 6.30pm when Evensong will include the Bach Choir.

DIANE will be back again on Wednesday with her stall selling a large variety of goods in aid of Leukaemia Care. She will be opposite WHSmith and open from 9am till 5pm and items on sale include plants. This is the last sale of this session so do not miss it.

ANOTHER popular event on Wednesday is the quarterly service for the advisory centre. This will be at the URC in Aylesbury End at 8pm and everyone is invited to attend.

YOU ARE INVITED by the Friends of Cancer Research UK to join a riverside luncheon in a beautiful setting by the Thames at Maidenhead on Sunday July 3 from 12.30pm till 4pm.
