CELEBRATING in song on Sunday evening in the Community Centre is open to everyone. Songs of Praise, organised by Churches Together in the Wye Valley, starts at 6pm. There's music from the Worship Band of St Mary's Church in Wooburn Green with their upbeat and lively sound. Childrens' voices will join together when the Claytons School Choir unite in a presentation of traditional hymns along with some contemporary music. They will be joined by Claytons Swing Band with their special style of music.
FRENCH CHILDREN and their parents will be taking part in an exchange visit over this weekend and into next week. They will be visiting the village events and then going into school and taking part in lessons. Look out for them and say "bonjour".
TARGET contributors are reminded that their copy should be at the community centre by Monday, July 4. The issue features events taking place in August and September.
RIVER USERS will have enjoyed a wonderful weekend and it was encouraging to see so many people out on the river, walking along the riverbank, enjoying ice creams from the marina or resting on the public open space.
