SERIOUS discussions on the effects of bullying have inspired children at King's Wood School.
The primary school, in Hollis Road, High Wycombe, held a lunchtime drop-in club for Year Six students to raise awareness of bullying.
The seven-week project encouraged kids to think about the consequences of bullying and saw them designing their own posters.
The club was so successful that it led to a poetry competition which everyone in the school took part in.
Ten Year Six girls also wrote and performed a play about bullying to the rest of the school.
Learning mentor, Brenda Boorman, was surprised at how well the children tackled such a serious issue.
She said: "It was absolutely fantastic, they really responded well. The standard of the poems was incredible."
