Remember Mr Chandler? Have any abiding memories of him, or your time in his class that you would like to record? Got any photos of him, or with him in?
After 15 years he is leaving Widmer End School, and the school is putting together a book of memories to present to him at the end of term.
The school is attempting to contact as many ex Widmer End pupils (and staff) who will remember him as possible, to invite them to contribute something to the book.
From Saturday 25th June until Monday 18th July, the book will be held at Hazlemere Food Hall, and anyone who wishes to write a message, or record a memory, or provide a photo that we can stick in, is welcome to do just that at any time.
The book will be at the kiosk (where lottery tickets are sold).
Bev Ormshaw has asked for as many people as possible to pass the information on.
"We realise that many students are on study leave now and it may be difficult for us to get a message to them, but we are hoping that the modern equivalent of the jungle drums, txt msg or email, will be effective!" she said.
If anyone living out of the area can send a message via email to someone local, we are happy to paste those into the book too.
