A Latvian car-wash attendant wanted for the murder of A-level student Jeshma Raithatha will be extradited to the UK.
Viktors Dembovskis, 42, who lived near Jeshma in west London, left the country shortly after the 17-year-old was raped and stabbed thrice by a secluded footpath on May 16.
She took a shortcut to her home in Sudbury Hill after shopping in Wembley High Road. Eight days later police found her body in a wooded den used by drinkers.
The suspect was arrested in his home town of Livani, eastern Latvia, earlier this month.
The Latvian office of the prosecutor general confirmed it had decided to extradite him.
Dembrovskis, who has denied guilt, has ten days to appeal against the decision. If he does so, the court could take up to a month to make a final ruling.
