GILES GATE COFFEE MORNING in aid of Arthritis Research will he held tomorrow from 10.15am. Donations of cakes and biscuits will be welcome, also items for the bring and buy stall.
CHURCHYARD CLEARANCE DAY at Holy Trinity is tomorrow, all help gratefully received for tackling some of the brambles and other plantlife.
REVEREND PAUL SMITH'S final Sunday in the parish is this Sunday when he will be preaching at services in Holy Trinity (9.30am) and Great Hampden (11.15am). A farewell party, with pig roast, will be held in the vicarage garden at lunchtime.
BABY AND TODDLER GROUP meets every Wednesday from 9.45am to 11.15am in the Methodist Church hall. It costs £1.20 for first child and 50p for additional children over six months.
MOBILE LIBRARY stops in the High Street car park on alternate Wednesdays from 11.45am to 12.30pm.
PRESTWOOD SOCIETY is organising a "figure of eight" walk led by Christine Jolly on Saturday, June 25 starting from Aldbury village centre (near Tring) by the pond, the Ordnance Survey map grid reference being SP965125. Walkers can join at 10am or 1.30pm (or both!). Refreshments are available at the tea shop or village pubs. All, including dogs, are welcome on this walk. IF YOU, OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW, enjoys reading, but are unable to get to a library, contact the Community Development Officer on 01296 382033. She will arrange for a library visitor to choose books, videos, DVDs etc, and deliver them to you at home completely free of charge.
