YOU ARE INVITED to an evening of varied musical entertainment tomorrow evening in Little Missenden village hall at 7.30pm. The artistes are Clare Graham, cello and piano, and Vanessa Bowers, soprano. These two young local musicians have talents which take them onto music conservatoires in September. Tickets are available from 01494 862680 for £8, £6 concessions, or £10 on the door.
LIGHTHOUSE SPONSORED WALK takes place on Sunday, starting from the Oldham Hall between 2pm and 3.30pm. Three routes are available, three, six and ten miles, and are not suitable for buggies, as there will be several stiles. Also, because most of the walks are on public footpaths, you may also come across sheep, cattle and horses en route.
OVER THE WEEKEND June 24-26 the parish church will be holding a flower festival entitled "Flowers in Harmony" to raise funds for the organ restoration. Hymns have some of the most beautiful verses in the English language and the flower arrangers, led by Barbara Dunford, will be selecting lines from their favourite hymns and reflecting these in their arrangements. There's further details next week.
