FOXES, bats and badgers are just some of the animals who regularly live in some of our own back gardens and now there is a chance to learn more about them.
The Buckinghamshire County Museum is hosting a wildlife day on Saturday, June 18 from 11am to 4pm when members from a range of local wildlife groups will be available to meet the public and visitors can explore hands-on and live displays.
They will be able to find out how to attract wildlife in their garden and discover what lives in their pond. There is an opportunity to meet a bat, take part in a bug hunt or bring in your own mystery objects for identification.
Children can try their hand at making red kite finger puppets and bat masks or design their own wildlife badge.
Members from the Bucks Badger Group, the North Bucks Bat Group, the Bucks Invertebrate Group, Wycombe Wildlife Group, Wycombe Rangers, Milton Keynes Natural History Society, the Chilterns Conservation Board, Chesham and District Natural History Society, Friends of Tring Reservoir and the Environmental Records Centre, will all be present.
Admission to the wildlife day is free and members of the public can just turn up as booking is not needed.
