STAFF at The Curry Centre Indian restaurant in Easton Street, High Wycombe, were surprised to hear that a mirror on their wall may have a colourful past.
The restaurant owners have tried to maintain a traditional feel in the building, and have therefore kept all the original furniture and fixtures from its past life.
Recently a customer recognised a large mirror hanging on the wall by a staircase from one of the building's previous incarnations as a shoe shop.
Muzakkir Ali, who works in the restaurant, said: "I have heard it may have been the oldest shoe shop in High Wycombe."
