It's not from the tough streets of Manchester the Gallagher brothers find inspiration for their songs but in a leafy Bucks studio as Ushma Mistry discovered.
OASIS fans may want to boast of a little claim to fame when they hear that some tracks from their recent number one album, Don't Believe The Truth, were recorded on their very own doorstep.
Since 1998 the Manchester-based band have held the lease to a farmhouse turned recording complex called Wheeler End Studios in Bolter End Lane just 15 minutes outside High Wycombe where they put together most of their current album.
Wheeler End Studios, which was once the property of 1960s singer Alvin Lee, is now run by his ex-wife and has a very interesting history.
A number of artists have been known to have used the studios to record various tracks including ex-Beatle George Harrison, Bill Wyman and Joe Brown and a few famous names include Paul Weller, Kelly Jones from the Stereophonics and Roger Daltrey have been invited as Noel Gallagher's guests but the studios have been the band's semi-permanant base for the past seven years.
A spokesman for the Wheeler End Studios, says: "They have been very happy here and have been using the Wheeler End Studios for more than five years."
The studios celebrates its silver anniversary this year but the owners are not planning on holding any major parties but they have promised to reveal all about the much talked about studios one day.
