PETS will win prizes at the Downley Day village fete as the search begins to find the top dog in the village.
The dog show will be one of the main attractions at Downley Day on Saturday, June 18 when pet owners will be parading their dogs for the award of most lovable pooch.
An organising committee spokesman said: "It's usually pretty packed and keeps the community spirit going. It's a really traditional English fete."
Other attractions will include a tug of war between village pubs, country dancing and fair rides. Some of the money raised will go towards the parish council. The event kicks off at 2pm on Downley Common.
