THERE WERE PLENTY of attractions to keep visitors to the village fete happy on ?Saturday and the weather, though windy, was fine apart from the odd sharp shower. The flowers in the church were beautiful and the Camera Club's exhibition was well worth a visit.
MP David Lidington had a chance to look at our community bus when he visited the fete and Stokenchurch Community Transport intends to set up a programme of fortnightly Friday trips to places of interest. If you are eligible to use the community bus and would like to visit Sudeley Castle at Winchcombe, near Cheltenham on June 24, Aylesbury market on July 8 or the Saville Gardens on July 22, please phone 01494 485839. The fare will be from £5 to £7 (excluding any admission fees), picking up at your home from 10am onwards.
MARY TOWERTON SCHOOL at Studley Green is holding its annual summer fete on Saturday, June 18 between midday and 3pm. There will be lots of attractions including a giant slide and bouncy castle, stalls, barbecue and beer tent. A display of flying model aircraft will take place at 2pm by Skyline Models of Studley Green. Go along for a good afternoon.
